# Workser FAQ

> Plain answers about Workser, the proactive AI workforce: what it is, what its AI agents do, what it costs, how charging works and how your data is kept safe.

These answers match the [FAQ on workser.ai](https://workser.ai/faq).

## The basics

> **How is Workser different from a chatbot?**
>
> A chatbot is one conversation. Workser is your personal AI workforce: each AI agent has its own character and role, can have its own email and phone number, uses your saved logins, and works in your apps, a cloud browser and the project’s shared cloud computer. Many tasks run at once, and you see each one in Chats.

> **Who is Workser for?**
>
> Anyone who wants professional work done, not another chat window: you start with a workforce of your own, and the Team plan shares AI agents across your company. Start on the web in a minute — nothing to install.

> **What are Chats?**
>
> Chats are where you talk to your AI agents and hand out focused assignments, on the web. Follow the work, review results and steer what happens next in the same place.

> **Can my AI agents email, text and call?**
>
> Yes, as add-ons on any paid plan. Work email: $2 a month per inbox, on your plan's invoice. 200 emails a month included per inbox, sent and received together, then 0.2 credits per email in either direction. No plan includes a free inbox. Work phone: US and Canada numbers: $5 a month per number, on your plan's invoice, then calls and texts at cost + 20%, in credits. Emails wait for your yes until you trust the contact.

> **Do I need my own AI key?**
>
> No. Workser runs the AI for you. Everything is paid in credits, so there is one bill and no keys to manage.

> **Can I choose the AI model?**
>
> On a paid plan, yes: choose premium AI models for each AI agent and chat. Free runs on one fast model and can't choose.

> **How much does Workser cost?**
>
> Start free with 50 credits. Paid plans start at $20 a month, and you pay for what the work uses, as it runs, not for seats. 100 credits = $1 when you pay. [See the plans](/ai-workforce/plans-and-credits).

> **How am I charged?**
>
> Every AI model call is charged as soon as it finishes, using the units the provider returns: input and output tokens. Infrastructure is charged when each piece finishes or fails: sandbox and cloud computer minutes, the cloud browser, phone and email are charged when each piece ends, whether it worked or not. A task that fails pays for what actually ran, no more, and its credits are not given back. Credits and usage shows every charge with its units and price. Plan credits refresh every month and unused ones expire. Credits you buy never expire.

> **Can I see what a task costs?**
>
> A live meter shows the credits a task uses as it runs. Once similar tasks have finished, you also see an estimate before it starts, and a task that passes its estimate asks once whether to keep going or stop.

> **Can an AI agent pay for things?**
>
> From Starter, AI agents can pay at website checkouts with your card. Anything from \$50 waits for your yes. Phone numbers are US and Canada only today. Phone numbers outside the US and Canada: Soon.

> **Do my AI agents share one computer?**
>
> Every project has a shared cloud computer that all its AI agents use and stay logged in on, so you set up logins once. Add dedicated computers for \$5 a month each and choose which AI agents may use them. Work that needs it can also run in a private sandbox, separate from your own apps and files. Higher plans run more cloud computers at once.

> **Is Workser available for companies?**
>
> Yes — start with a workforce of your own, then the Team plan shares one task board and AI agents across your people, and we run enterprise contracts with training. [Talk to us](https://workser.ai/contact).

## Running your business with it

> **How does Workser handle my data?**
>
> Your work stays inside your organisation, tasks run on your project’s cloud computer or in a private sandbox, and saved logins are encrypted: your AI agents use them without ever seeing them. [Security & Trust](/security/whitepaper) has the details.

> **What is an AI workforce?**
>
> A team of AI agents that each do a task in your business, like answering customers, checking invoices or writing social posts, on their own. With Workser each AI agent can have its own work email, phone number, logins and cloud computer, so it works like a new hire, not a chat window. [Read more](/ai-workforce/overview#what-is-an-ai-workforce).

> **Can Workser run my online shop's customer service?**
>
> Yes. A Customer Support AI agent answers customer questions and drafts replies from what you tell it about your shop. Emails wait for your yes until you trust the contact, and refunds, cancellations and payments from \$50 always come to you first.

> **Do I have to watch the AI agents all the time?**
>
> No. They work on their own and text you when a task is done or stuck. They ask before risky steps: refunds, deletes and cancellations, payments from \$50, and emails to people you haven't trusted yet. If you want, you can open a task and watch its browser live.

> **What can I hand off in my first week?**
>
> Start with one task you do every week: replies to customer questions, a short report on last week's sales from your spreadsheet, or a week of social posts. Your first task is free, so try it before you pay.

> **How much does an AI agent cost per month?**
>
> Plans start at $20 a month for Workser + 50 AI agents. Pro is $100 for Workser + 100 AI agents. You pay for the work in credits as it runs, not per seat, and you see an estimate before a task starts.

> **Is Workser a good fit for a small restaurant or local business?**
>
> Yes, for the desk work: answering messages, replying to reviews, writing menus and social posts, and keeping order lists up to date. Work phone numbers are US and Canada only today; everywhere else it works by email and chat apps.

> **Can the AI agents use the apps I already use?**
>
> Yes. They work in your web apps through a cloud browser that stays signed in, through hundreds of connected apps, and on the shared cloud computer. Saved passwords are encrypted and the AI agent never sees them.

> **Do I need to install anything or bring my own AI key?**
>
> No. Workser runs in your web browser and runs the AI for you. Everything is paid in credits, so there's one bill.

> **What if an AI agent makes a mistake?**
>
> Every finished task is checked against what you asked before it says Done. Risky steps wait for your yes. You can see each step it took, and you pay for what actually ran.

> **Can I try Workser before paying?**
>
> Yes. The Free plan gives you 50 credits and 3 AI agents, with no card. Paid plans have a 7-day money-back guarantee: your plan price back, minus credits you used.

> **Is there a link that opens Workser with my first task filled in?**
>
> Yes. Add your task in plain words after [https://workser.ai/computer/start?job=](https://workser.ai/computer/start?job=) and the link opens Workser with that task waiting. You sign up, and the task is there for you to send. AI tools can hand this link to the people they help.

> **[Still stuck?](mailto:support@workser.ai)**
>
> Email [support@workser.ai](mailto:support@workser.ai) and we will help.
